ANDY’S TRAVELS & RANTS

Right now i’m in flordia in my RV. will be packing up today and start the drive to Cleveland, Ohio, on March 30-31st. Stow the RV in the camp and pack for the trip. We leave April 4th for Morocco. Will be in Morocco until April 18th then we fly to Germany and pick up a car and drive to Slovakia. Not sure of the route from Germany to Slovakia, will decide when we get there. The air reservations still have some minor bugs. (seat assignments etc) I perfer a aisle seat so i can get up and walk  on long flights. I also try to get exit rows or bulk head (although sometimes bulkheads you can end up with people with babies who will, of course cry from take off till landing) I use seat guru to find the seats. found that if you call the airline the day or night before, they release some of the better seating they held for the ff’s.

Been in touch with a person called Valaj in Slovakia. He will be our translator when we get the Presov region. since we will commiing in by car we will have to get a phone GSM to use looking at several types now but will need something to use in Morrocco and Europe. I think all the problems we have had with the reservations have been ironed out. Found so far that the personnel at Royal Air Moroc seem to be very nice in helping though our pretrip problems. The only major snag now seems to be a connection time of 1 hour 20 minutes in Casablanca when changing planes. But some friends seems to think that this is OK. Deleted last post bout trip by mistake, so outline of april trip to morocco, german, austria, poland, and slovakia. will start april 4, 2006. flights cleveland, nyc, morocco, marakesh—then marakesh, casablanca, frankfurt. then by car to austria, poland and slovakia. will try to post as internet cafes permit

seems that airlines have new rules = not enough passengers they can delete flight. this just happened./ they did give us another option with an extra stop and 5 more hours on a short hop to nyc. found out if you call airline they can, and in our case improve the flight connections. seems that there are new rules afoot.
