T - 2 Weeks
SO I leave 2 weeks from tommorow. I’m starting to get really pumped, but also a tad bit nervous. What the Hell am I getting myself into!?!?! I was totally cool before Barcelona last year…but I guess that was “a different story altogether” (just like the shopkeeper and his son). Barca just sort of fell into place…and came right after a crazy semester at school. This is more of a drawn out process…I wouldn’t mind just jumping on the plane tommorow, but hey, then I might not be able to take advantage of those business class seats [thanks mom and dad 
]. Anyway, it’s all good, and I know it’ll be a blast. In my usual fashion, I’ve left everything to the last minute, so it’ll be nice if I can get all of my shit together in time (I still don’t have housing past a week in a hostel). If not - hey, at least the experience will be more interesting - especially if I’m homeless.
I’ve been doing some thinking about this blog, too. Although my primary intent is to entertain you with my trials and tribulations as I try to make my way through South America with nothing but my charming good looks and piss poor spanish, I decided I’d be so kind as to periodically drop some knowledge on ya’ll. Basically, instead of just visiting my webpage to kill 5 agonizing minutes at work, you may actually learn a few things. Possible topics include, but are not limited to everything from Jewish life in Argentina to the science behind the Brazilian Bikini wax. So, open up your mind, take a deep breath, and prepare to be schooled.
