Mrs. Parker Just Don´t Know!
For those of you who haven´t seen one of the seminal works in American filmmaking - Friday - the aforementioned title alludes to the fact that there is an absolutely ridiculous amount of beautiful women in this city. Whether I´m sitting at a cafe, walking to class, or just hanging out, hardly a minute passes without seeing one of G-d´s fine creations. Add to this that it is now spring - which is a huge deal around here, there are actually signs tacked on the windows of stores saying ¨feliz primavera¨ (happy spring) - so people should be going out even more. Now of one of said girls would actually talk to me - I´m working on that.
I for one need to seriously start budgeting…for as cheap as everything is (with the exception of apartments, which are so expensive in local terms)…I´m digging a hole in my pocket, for real. One of my problems is my eating; the food is just too good to pass up. I think I eat something here every hour, on the hour - it´s clockwork so nice it´d make Monina - from Curb Your enthusiasm, ¨The Carpool Lane,¨ - proud. I need to get back to work on my third lesson plan, so please excuse me. This whole teaching bit is turning out to be ALOT harder than I ever imagined.
