Interlude -Part I
Right now Im in the midst of figuring out my plans for the future (i.e. past dinnertime) - should I stay or should I go…so Ill write a longer blog post in the next few days once I come closer to my conclusion. Relating to that though, even if I wanted to leave Argentina and fly home, it wouldnt be possible: 90 % of the airline industry and the countrys airport staff & pilots have been on strike since November 24! Not only that, of the 50,000 people stranded, 80 % are thought to be foreigners…but dont take my word for it, feast on this:

Amigos….tranquilo. I could have posted this article in Spanish, but I thought it´d be easier for everyone in English - so this is the best article I found, Bloomberg and his damn $200 million dollar mayoral campaigns or not.
The Clash - if I leave Argentina I´d be going to a neighboring country, not to Estados Unidos! I´m staying in South America as long as I can, or until I can´t take it anymore - i.e. until I can no longer afford the highly coveted 2-ply toilet paper. As the famous quote goes, ¨Oh no, (I) ain´t goin´ NOWHERE!¨ My post was just to reiterate, again, that things are crazy down here. Almost 40,000 foreigners have been stranded in Argentina for a week because of the latest strike, which shows no sign of abating!
