i forgot to mention subways

today we woke up, stacy and mom got thai massages while i walked up to the huge buddha on the hill and later we took the “s” word form of transportation which is a pick-up truck with benches in the back to the pier to catch the ferry. after we rode the boat back to the mainland for 40 minutes we caught a tuk tuk to the bus station, took the bus to bangkok (around 2.5-3 hrs.), took a taxi to the wrong train station (which was the driver’s fault not ours), took another taxi toward the train station, but traffic was way too bad so we got out after about 40 minutes and got on the subway to get to the train station. then, i bought my ticket for tomorrow at the train station and we had a quick ice cream from DQ and hopped into another taxi and got back to the guest house where i’m staying tonight. we did stacy and mom’s last minute shopping and they showered at the guesthouse and took off in another taxi to the airport where they will obviously catch an airplane to seoul, south korea. they will arrive 5.5 hours later and start all over with 12 hours there.

it takes me a 2 to 3 hours for each post, so i’ll be back tomorrow (this is a continuation of the previous post)…

Heather! You sound like you are having a great time and helping the economy paying for chickens to be put out as traffic hazards at the Y of the road. Glad to hear you are praying, correctly or otherwise.
Please tell me Stacy got a rabies shot after the monkey scratch!!! It takes several weeks for rabies to show up, but it can show in two weeks. Then, it is too late. Lots of animals are carrying rabies these days. My friends here who worked in Thailand are enjoying your blog. But do take a little care, a surfing certificate! What wiil you think of next? You are a phenomenon.
On my knees here, that you will return safely to teach those students in Boston. Love,
