September 01, 2004disappointment
It was definitely too good to be true! Five whole days off for the August bank holiday, without having to take any of my hard earned holiday days. So we decided to go down south to Oxford, go to a friend's party and then go off exploring the cotswolds for a couple of days. And so we would have if i hadn't caught the most god-awful cold known to mankind. I wheezed through the birthday ceilidhs with a box of tissues hidden under a table, but by the next day I had no voice whatsoever, and felt like death-warmed-up. So i spent my holiday sitting on the sofa watching eighties teen movies while sipping lemsips, while everyone else went sailing and enjoyed themselves! No exploring for me!
