Few weeks ago I went on a three day trip from Visakhapatnam to Vijayawada in the state of Andhra Pradesh in the South. In this part, I write about the happenings on the first day. Travel for me has rarely been pleasure travel, they were mostly around work. However the pleasure part of the travels cannot be discounted since they have made it possible to met some lovely people. It is while discussing with them that I learn a lot which I hope will take me close to the meaning of life, or at least my version of it.

I am currently finishing my PhD in a Dutch university on small traditional firms in rural India. Most of the stories here will be from my travels to handicraft villages in India for my research.
