Well we were in Bali for about a week and we actually didn't do much. We decided to relax because we had been travelling constantly for nearly two months so we just wanted to be lazy! Therefore we sunbathed by the pool mainly and we went to the beach a few times. Kate tried surfing but didn't have much luck because the "instructor" wasn't very helpful so she stopped after 30 minutes of trying!! The weather was quite hot which caused it to rain a bit in the evenings but in the day it meant we could soak up the sun! As we had done all the way along, we tried some of the local (Indonesian) food which was quite nice. We also visited the Bali bomb memorial site and saw where the bomb had exploded, quite sad and surreal to realise the patch of land we were looking at was where around 200 people had been killed. Very sad. The hotel staff were really nice so we drunk with them a couple of nights but we also met a couple of New Zealand girls too who we went out for something to eat with. One of my lasting memories will be that the chlorine in the pool turned my hair green - this lasted for quite a few weeks!!!
