Mini-sodes
Mondays and Fridays suck.
In HCM city, tv shows play mini-sodes when they need to kill time. They take sydicated TV shows and do the equivalent to it as is done to the following sentence:
The cat gives milk to its kittens.
-> cat milk kittens
It leaves the bits that carry the meaning of the sentence behind. These are words we stress in the English language. Try tapping it with your hands.
Anyway, a mini-sode of Charlie’s Angels is funny to watch. From beginning to end, you can watch a whole episode, minus mundane dialogue, flourishing music, and the bits of action you don’t care for like walking out of a car, crossing the street, or something like that.
I kinda wish I had a kitchen. At least I could just experiment in the kitchen, my lab, my cauldron, and do something on a rainy night like this. Make osso bucco or something. Saltibucco.
Tonight it rains. Today my students had no energy and it was a loooooong day.
Talked with Fred today, albeit briefly. Inadvertently interrupted a conversation she had and brought myself further down into a sartrian hell.
Tomorrow’s the eve of my birthday, and I’m heading out with Mona to Fred’s salsa lesson — if it’s still on. I go there with only one thing in mind: to dance, and hopefully get back some of my moves on the floor.
Nothing else exciting except that it’s a national holiday on my birthday.
Yay.
