Wine
Thursday, June 12th, 2008Every so often, Yves reminds me that there’s promise of wine, women, and the dream of being “the man” if even I went in on his idea to run a vineyard in Argentina. (At least, I think it was Argentina.)
I smile when I think of it because it’s a lot like my next grand idea for world travel: to find Shangri-la. Shangri-la doesn’t exist, except in James Hilton’s “Lost World”, but like any great expedition, it’s the journey that can open up doors to other adventures, and for some places, the people you meet along the way that make a place stand out.
I don’t know how serious Yves is to move towards the vineyard. I did warn him that I had other great adventures to tackle before I settle on the retired life of hot Argentinian women and wine. I imagine he keeps that idea on the backburner as he tackles his current adventure with self-employment.
