G'day, my name is Rik and I was born in Camberley on the outskirts of London in 1980.

Two years later my family, then just consisting of my folks and I moved out to Rome, where I spent the years of my first memories pushed about the streets of one of Europes most ancient cities.

From then on we were always on the move not staying more than three years in one place before moving on.

In the summer of '99 I left London for the sunshine of the English seaside, where I planned to spend the summer working in Brighton before returning to College and possibly going to Univesity

But it seemed fate had another plan in store for me as I found out one morning as I woke up to find myself But it seemed fate had another plan in store for me as I found out one morning as I woke up to find myself on not the stoney beaches of Brighton but a sandy beach in France.

With no return ticket to the UK I headed to Paris with less than £50 in my pocket to get a job and begin what has been five years of great travelling through Europe.

Now I am back on the South Coast of England planning my next big adventure, with the aim of spending the next six years on the road as I attempt to travel the world.

Why six years? Well with so much too see why try to fit it in to one year?
