July 07, 2005London Bombs
Today I awoke to a miserable drizzly day. Sunshine had been forecast but the day has turned out a lot darker than just the weather. The battle has reached our doorstep. In fact it has pushed the door open and come right in. When such events happen so close to home, in your city in fact it maks you think. It stuns you. I could'nt consentrat at work and neither could most of my collegues who were frantically ringing loved ones to see if they were ok. Of course we know that not everyone escaped the terror alive and that makes the bombing all the more scary. It could have been anyone. It's easy to sit at home and watch bombs going off in far away places. But for it to happen in our city makes you think. It could happen anytime. BBC INDEPTH LONDON BOMBING JULY 7TH Comments
