August 27, 2004Bio
I was born in Washington DC from a French mother and a Canadian father. I left home at age 17 to go study in Montreal. I actually finished my studies in Arizona and ended up with a job in Mojave, CA. I am now 26. I used to think that if I had a truly awesome job then everything else would fall into place. This has turned out to not work so well. So now I have saturated on crummy desert living (a situation I endured in hopes of achieving awesome career prospects) and I am about to set out on a journey. I am so tired of the boonies that this trip has to take me to really nice places where I can communicate with people and make lots of friends. No Gobi Desert for me, thanks. I love the outdoors, so I want to see beautiful scenery and I want to be able to indulge in the outdoor activities that I like best: skiing, backpacking and rock climbing. The plan is simple: two months in New Zealand, one month in Thailand, maybe more if I can stretch the budget. In NZ I'll ski until the season runs out, then I'll explore, tramp, and enjoy this stunning country as I see fit. Then in Thailand I expect to spend most of my time near Krabi for some beach-side climbing. I am also looking forward to taking cooking classes and massage lessons there, as well as exploring the country, of course. I can't wait! I'll fill in the details of how this all came about in my updates. Comments
