February 26, 2005Bio
Growing up as a State Department Brat, and living all over the world, my fundamental self has always preferred to live in a state of limbo. However, when I moved back to the US to go to college, a long and protracted affair, I got tied down to the greated D.C. area for the better part of seven years: a bloody long time given my history. All that time there was an itch, and a none too subtle one at that. I knew what it was, but was becoming too comfortable where I was and had "too many commitments" to scratch it properly. Then I realized last year, after I turned twenty six, that unless I stopped finding excuses for not taking my savings and living my dream of long term travel that I might never do so. After six years in the Live Music/Nightclub business, and increasing dedication to my work - work which has no bearing on what I went to school for, and which I have no real idea how I got into - it was time to take the plunge. So long dreams of home ownership; so long new paint job for my car; hello new experiences gallore. Like everyother knucklehead traveller with a modicum of writing ability and a passion for reading, I harbour aspirations of publishing some sort of material concerning my travels, far fetched though the chances may be. So, I'm blogging when I can, and maintaining a journal of sorts: of what interest it will be to others I know not. Comments
