The Spirit...

A book fortold the event and prepared me for "The Spirit". It amazes me now that at the time of reading the book, I felt that the message was how easily we as humans can misunderstand each other" and that "we should learn and listen to those from other cultures". I told others to read this book so that they too could learn how easily, we are wrong. Looking back on that book, now...I realize that the message the book was giving me was that "The Spirit" lives and have no fear. It sounds funny, unrealistic but trust me, there is truth in understanding. In the past year there have been so many instances where I have read a book, story or article where that story became my reality. After reading the " The Spirit Catches You and You Fall" by Anne Fadimen I left for Laos and on this particular day, I knew there was no coincidence, it was destiny. I recommend that everyone reads this book. It's a bit specific at first but after a few chapters it starts to flow and speak to you. The Spirit Catches You and You Fall by Anne Fadiman " A Hmong Child, Her American Doctors, and the Collision of Two Cultures" May it give you a special message, as well.
