Travel Log: November 25, 2005

Ohhh India, what a place. As I stand on the sidelines, or sit at a cafe, or view outside the rickshaw, I survey my suroundings and realize I am just one person.

Just one person in the masses, but the mass isn't just humans. There is so much more...so much more waste, so many more smells, much more traffic, so much hassling, so many poor people, so many inequalities, so much pollution...so much of everything and it's overwhelming.

I am thankful that for the first few days the impact of India was held at bay by the comforts of a friend. I was held in safety prior to being released to the masses of the world. A billion people in fact, A billion...and I am just one!
