Zanzibar - Travel Log October 22nd

Over the last 3 nights, I have enjoyed a setting that the romantic girl in me dreams off. A crystal beach, fisherman sails coming in from a long day, the sound of the small waves hitting the white sands, scents of curry, cinnamon, clove, coriandor in the background and sunsets filled with pinks, reds, oranges and peaches.

On this night, I finally succumbed to the sales of a local dinner buffet and as I wait...the sunsets for another night of tranquility. As I walk the beach and find a beautiful view, I find myself alone on this sands with only the passing fisherman and Nora Jones (playing in my IPOD) to be my companions.

For me the end of the day is a tranquil moment, a moment of when the sun lays down it's head to fall asleep. On this night the peaches are shadowed by a turquoise blue and it appears that heaven has opened up her arms as a welcome for all.

Within minutes darkness evelopes the sea and I start my way back to dinner. I find my table on the laps of the breaking waves, with a candle, soft music playing in the background....I find a romantic dinner for 1!
