June 18, 2005No Ice Cream...
I am a bit tired of the get up and go every three days, the lack of sleep, the doners /cheap gyro sandwich, city life and tourist. I would like to go relax in the country or beach for a few days but it is so hard to do from a train or bus and the cost of eating a good meal, getting a good night sleep and getting a rental car is out of the budget. I am thankful for the hosts that have provided me warm, quiet and well fed housing...but reality hits when I am alone.
My spending attitude has changed quite a bit since day one. I remember telling someone at the first hostel that the laundry was only as expensive as your need. 5 weeks later, I walk 4 blocks to get a cheaper internet rate and I turn down a 1.5 euro ice cream because the travel cost to the next city is so expensive. So much for a glass of wine, steak and above all DESSERT! Miss everyone!!! Comments
