When you turn into your parents, do you run screaming into the night?
Anyone who knows me well and knows my family is well aware of the family trait… the large MacNaughtan ears, you know the ones that stick out a bit? Well thankfully I was blessed with my Mother’s ears, small and normal, not the Scottish ones my Dad and youngest brother have. No offence Dad! You know I love you…
ANYWAY… my Dad is known for wiggling his ears (An art I learnt at a very young age from watching him do it) and entertains strange kids on a semi regular basis. It’s pretty sad when you’re sitting in Costco eating a hot dog and hear some kid yell, “hey Mom that’s the man that wiggles his ears!!”, and you haven’t even seen that kid today!
Well while aboard the ship, sailing down the Yangtze there was 1 little Chinese boy aboard, who was possibly the cutest kid EVER! He and his mom sat by me, and while waiting for the evenings entertainment to start, what do you think I did?… YEP, I freaking wiggles my ears! LOL
It was hilarious, I didn’t speak Chinese, and he didn’t speak English, but he saw that and just started laughing. From then on he’d ask me to do it again and giggle, then give me the thumbs up, it was so dang cute!!
