Moving day…
Sounds boring right? I mean, every one knows what happens when a person moves, you pack, you load, you move. I rented a U-haul Cargo van to move my furniture from Cardston to Lethbridge for the yard sale I’m having with Amanada tomorrow. That meant that 2 girls were loading a 7.5 ft sofa, a queen bed, stone tables, cedar chest and more.
The sofa was the biggest challenge. With a length of 7.5ft and width of about 2ft, trying to get it out the door was a serious challenge. However with some adjustments (taking the legs off), we moved it out the door, up the stairs and into the back of the van. Next, the queen mattress. Like the sofa, this is no cheap mattress, its big, heavy and bulky. Oh, and did I mention its also white!
With a bit of effort we managed to get the mattress to the van, that was the easy part. Now we had to try and wedge it inside, over the sofa and then down. We pushed, we pulled, I stood under it with my head and we tried to manuvre it that way. Finally I went in the side of the van and pulled, while Amanda pushed. After several minutes we finally got it into place. Within a couple seconds I hear Amanda give this insane kind of laugh. I thought she was happy we finally got it in. When I asked her, she said she was a little stuck.
I was not prepared for what I saw as I walked around the outside of the van to the back. I saw her legs sticking straight out, twisted together and I lost it. I fell to the ground and howled with laughter. I have never in my life seen anything so funny. I couldn’t look at her without dying with laughter. She had some how been wedged between the sofa and mattress with her arms and legs sticking out. After several minutes of gut wrenching laughter , I ran for my camera to capture the moment forever.

We may have been completely exhausted after two trips to Cardston and back, but I have never had so much un moving. Not to mention the gourmet dinner her fiance JR had waiting for us! Oh SOOOO Yummy!!
