Earthquakes in China
It seems so surreal to think that just a month ago I was in China, visiting Beijing, Xi’an, Chengdu, Chongqing and cruising down the Yangtze River. When I close my eyes, I see China the way I saw it in April, the beautiful scenery and people.
Now there’s been a 7.9 earthquake in the Sichuan Province of China, which has changed things dramatically. I’m wondering how the people I met in Chengdu are fairing. Is Holly’s Hostel still standing? Are they ok? I know my friends in Xi’an are ok, and that is a great relief! But I’m having a great deal of difficulty trying to imagine what Chengdu looks like now.
I pray that they’re all ok. I want to know, to find out somehow. The question is how….
