Well, not all subway riders are like this. Bob and I had
a wonderful conversation with a woman sitting next to
us who was reading a Thailand Lonely Planet...Bob
recommending a nice guesthouse. But is imperative to
not intrude on others with eye contact...it is true...much
like on subways around the world, but where the attitude
is much different.

What a depressing, inhospitable… ohhhh wait a minute. You funny – sneaky funny – provocative funny. My turn. There is no community, there is no fellowship, there is no acceptance, there is no opportunity, there is no hospitality, there is no horizon, there is no role model, there is no potential… there is no hope for anyone – not one. Aahhh – feels so good! Yep – it does take the dark to see the light. And now that you’re awake, puh-lease grab those bootstraps and pull yourself up New York!
A Pioneer from Oregon.
