June 15, 2005Day 11 Martinique
The day started the same as the prior days, relax in bed until I had enough gumption to go downstairs for breakfast. I am going to miss that coconut jam stuff. When I was a kid I used to hate coconuts. Maybe because their French coconuts. Because of the rain, napping was the only option. This was the first real day that I did not have to either find something (adapter) or try to plan for something (ride to airport.) I had the day to just do nothing. I got back up around 11 and headed down to the beach. By this time the newness of the boobies wore off so I could pretty much just walk by the two French girls playing volleyball without gawking in amazement. I guess for me its like what people feel when they release the stranded dolphins back into the wild. Thats what I had been feeling prior to getting desensitized. I spent the rest of the mid-day, drift fishing a bottle trying to catch a fish off the rock piles right off the beach. I found some fishing line and tied on one of the hooks I had in my pack. I would then tie about a foot of the line to a bottle and attach a little crab I would catch on the rocks. I got plenty of bites but could never catch one. After the drift I would have to swim out to retrieve the bottle. It was actually pretty challenging and a couple of hours went by really quickly. I got cleaned up and headed into town to pick up lunch/dinner and to verify with the Rasta guy that he would take me the next day. I went back to my room for another nap and just wasted the day away. I think if I spent any more time in Martinique my days would have consisted of getting up for breakfast and then taking 12 naps before going to bed around 8 pm. Luckily/unluckily, I would be heading to Tobago the following day. I spent the rest of the afternoon doing laundry and packing my back pack. That night I kind of knew it would be the last of the resort living for a while, so I took an extra long hot shower, kicked on the air conditioning and snoozed the night away. Comments

It's a lot easier when you start with the ones that are topless. Sorry, I have been traveling with females so the male pig thing has been building up.
