October 13, 2004In Which We Lose
For anyone traveling abroad and reading this: the Red Sox fell down like moody sheep tonight. The Yankees won 10-7, and managed the game better throughout. RS Manager Terry Francona did not seem to recognize that pitcher "horse" Curt Schilling was hurt; he was suffering obviously due to the high ankle injury he'd received last week. He could not plant or push off his right leg, and was badly hit for 6 runs, and was at last forced out of the game before the fourth inning. After it became obvious that we needed to pull Schilling, our Manager dawdled and poked around in his brain, and failed to come up with a good pitching plan for the rest of the game. This nightmare sets the stage for Pedro tomorrow night. Will he have the guts for it ?

Thanks for the notes, but what about the score! Red Sox Nation wants the bottom line! Posted by: Missa on October 13, 2004 02:17 AM |
