The food here in Accra is a strong reason to stay here longer!

For those of you just itching to know more about about me, here goes.

One of the things I worried about when I began travelling was culture shock.

I quit my job as a web designer in order to see more of the big wide world before I reached retirement age. I began by walking through France but I changed to public transportation when I got into northern Spain, both from the torrential rains there and disappointment at the outcome of the US elections. I'm still interested in walking but maybe not quite so far as the distances can be in africa. Along the way I have been really enjoying the benefits of a cast-iron stomach, which allows me to eat all sorts of yummy local dishes. I am still trying to pare down how much I carry around with me!
