I took the night bus from Huaraz to Lima on the evening of the 22nd. The bus was decent. It was a double decker, and I sat on the top level. It also came with a meal as well, which was nice!}

Well, when we were arriving to Lima - around 5am, the lady next to me said that I needed to get off at the first stop because it is closer to the airport, so I tried to do that. Taxis hastled me -- 7 soles, which sounded fine. BUT the bus people would not let me get off there because my backpack was on the other side of the bus. The guy said that it was the same distance, and would cost the same...LIAR!!!

We passed the airport, and kept on driving. I wasl ike..crap! I missed my chance to make the 6am flights! I was getting really worried. So anyways, I got a taxi to the airport, and got completely ripped off. It was 28 soles. ugh!

I got to the airport, really frustrated after all that crap. Phew, got lucky! I got a flight at 7:30am to Cusco! It was $78 total, or 377 and something soles. Plus a $5 airport tax.

The flight from Lima to Cusco was great. About an hour of flying time -- beats the 20? hour bus ride!! And we got breakfast as well, which was nice.
