We are due for an immersion project for a client tomorrow. Our homebase will the Bayview Hotel along Roxas Boulevard. The objective of the project is to observe the lifestyles of the truly masa (i.e. the mass market). The Philippines, according to latest statistics, is made of 70% D class population. Now most people would probably assume that they live pitiful, derelict lives. We don't know that. I've been to a few D class homes and they have TV sets larger than the ones at home. And they seem to be pretty cheerful. Our call time is at 3:00AM at the office. Our destination is Pasay. We want to observe their habits from the moment they get wake up, so there. The first household we're visiting gets up at 4 AM. It's a schoolday so that's to be expected. Wish us luck! Comments
