GOOD MORNING PARIS
Sunday, May 31st, 2009Okay so at the time I wasn’t so awake, it may or may not have been morning when we finally got in the car to go to our hotel. At the time I was pretty much just trying to figure out which foot goes in front of the other.
Now for some thinking music while we were driving along in the car.
I don’t actually have any thinking music but here are a few facts about Paris:
There are more dogs in Paris–approximately 300,000–than there are children. (Last time I was in Paris it was so odd we were coming into the arrivals gate and there was dogs everywhere)
It took 180 years to build Notre-Dame–13,000,000 people visit annually
Admission to the Louvre is free the first Sunday of every month.
Since construction the Eiffel Tower has been painted 19 times, the most recent in 2008–it takes 15 months to complete.
Half an hour and a strangely sadate drive, with every car driver overseas it was quite unexpected to find a normal driver, we got to the hotel.
And just like normal que the mum crazy fit. We never really research the hotels, and this time it was kind of my fault, as I had booked it and researched the hotel. And it wasn’t really bad it was just small compared to the usual standards. It was just a combination of stress and a long flight but always fun to watch.
