29 DAYS UNTIL I LEAVE THE COUNTRY

44 DAYS UNTIL CONTIKI

Okay as usual I am pretty late to the game - but has anyone seen this on You Tube -

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bNF_P281Uu4&feature=user

It is amazing not to mention hilarious - I was just going to take a little mascot around Europe with me to put in each place - but this, classic.

I don’t know about everyone else but I espically like the first shot - where the water and the sky meet, I know it’s real but what a surreal place it has to be.

I think that it’s videos like this that really remind you why your spending so much money and time to visit all these different places and why you actually want to go and experience them.

Whiteout, a suitcase and a chair.

30 DAYS UNTIL I LEAVE THE COUNTRY

I actually counted it out today, because I was bored, and I am relaxing doing nothing on one of my very precious days off.

I can’t believe it I am actually under the month threshold - okay techinally tommorrow will be under the month count but still. I have been on and off counting this down for months and due to a bunch of unforunte circustances which is just typically I have literally be counting this down for over six months.

That is counting it down when I am able to lift my head out of the sand collapsing around me that is the horrors of full time work.

Can I have a shout out from all the fulltime workers about how much it sucks being a full time worker. I expect to have no replies at all because we don’t have time for frivolous things such as free time and chill out time.

But now is the time that things start to get a little crazy. I know the signs, the steps and the programme. I also know how to avoid to madness that is the month count down. However I mostly choose to ignore it, due to the fact that it takes my mind of other stupid things.

I think it works better when you get to the two days before utter panic attack that hits you when you realise you have a million things to do that have been on your to do pile for oh I don’t know months and you have been putting it off - happily in the fantasy that you can just arrive at the airport ready for your flight.

Oh god how in the world am I going to get to the airport? Great at that to the list. I really don’t like my list - or any list for that matter they keep getting longer.

set my alarm, turn on my charm

I actually decided to do something to day in regards to my trip other than just adding to the growing to do list. Naturally I choose the most useless thing I could possibly do, that I doubt will help my trip in the slightest.

let me feel your heart beat grow faster, faster

I went out and bought some whiteout. No wait for it, the whiteout is related to travel. Here’s a riddle.  How can a bottle of whiteout, a car and a suitcase possibly be interconnected and also related to travel.

Easy - my suitcase the same one I have been using for all my trips was looking baterred and rough and half my stickers were falling off so I went out and bought some whiteout and painted all the different cities that I have visited.

My suitcase is dark blue so with the writing and the old stickers I don’t think I will ever be able to miss my suitcase again. I was sitting on a car while I drew on it

you taste the wine, and i’ll pay the bill

WHERE’S THE TISSUES?

Friday, July 18th, 2008
There are many things that are horrible about full time work. But today I think I will just focus on the one. The one fact that I having been working so much that I haven't even had time to properly panic ... [Continue reading this entry]
