Church in Delhi..

And so my journey continues... or begins...
I had a short stopover in Toronto where I met up with my mom an Rachel (my lil' sis) and they gave me a rose... it is Day 3 and it is still alive! My journey to Delhi was a long one, the plane was surprisingly empty so I had a whole section to myself. I got to sprawl and laugh aloud at the Hindi movies without being looked at like I was poggle (crazy!). I arrived at the airport and was surprisingly met by one of the guys I met last year. No name printed in bold, black letters on a white board but I great big hug was even better! The whole gang (that I had met last year) had a little party with 2.5kg of curried mutton but I was too jet lagged to partake and crashed at a little hotel called "My Hotel"... aah... it had running water (cold), a fan, a phone and a T.V.... I was in luxury! My first morning, being Sunday, I decided to hunt around for a church that my dad's great-grandparents got married in. It took all day and I managed to miss all services! But I finally found it, only to have it locked up with the reverend gone long home. But it was still there Dad! St. James Church I found out is part of the Church of North India. It is in Old Delhi, between the Kashmere Gate and the old Red Fort.

I can hear your laugh over my way....it's so distinctive, so 'you'. Knew that friends would be waiting, you always have and always will have friends where ever you go. No matter what ledge in life that you may be standing on, you will look forward... never backward. Your experiences have always been bookmarked for future reference and are nicely tucked away to be pulled out and savoured. Enjoy and thank you so much in sharing it in this manner...I so look forward to the next note!

My dear darling dirty footed sister! I remember you returning from Tree planting with dirt packed nails and feet like a muddied elephant! Why I am not sure! But I know that you are the spirited fairy that cannot be in one place for too long. You are the gypsy, and you move with the wind. Enjoy and love all your surroundings. Think of me once in a whil as I wish I were there with you. Please tell us if you make it to Japur as I want to know all about Oma's city. I am here in Miami and sometimes I feel like we are paralleling eachother in similar yet different ways and there are things here that I want very much to share with you. But who knows where I might be when you return. Keep sus posted little sister. And I hope you packed the toilet paper- you see that is the difference between our traveling experiences..I prefer tp!!
I love you xoxoxoxo

Glad you made it in one piece! I took the liberty of letting others in the family circle know about your exploits. I hope your cyber time isn't lost to all the reading you may accumulate!
Hope the weather is kind to you. It is high 80's in Denver this week, I must cut grass and weed again. Not as exciting as roaming the Indian sub-continent, but you'll make us all a part of that adventure, I'm quite sure.
Love and hugs,

Dad
