Then I head for Tel Aviv, then home. So, I won't have much time in Israel at all; like one day. Dahab is a fucking tourist rip off. I'm trying to xmas shop here but my cash is limited plus my card wouldn't work when I tried to buy something. Furthermore, I need money to get around Israel. I will say to future travellers to Dahab caveat emptor......it's far more expensive than Cairo.
SOme people here have been friendly to me, and the people at my hotel have been cool. Once again, it's all guys and I don't know where the women here are. I did,however, buy some nice jewelry for myself.....so much for generosity. I bought a coffee mug, more for myself than anyone. I did buy my mom some rose perfume and a nice necklace; Garrett bought my dad a tie in NYC, now I need something for my mom's husband and my sister. I wanted to get a cat statue but maybe I can ask my friends in Egypt to send me one later. Really, many of these people are really smart but they're stuck here so it's a tough situation.
But the Red Sea is here and I wanted to see that; plus I saw the surface of Saudi Arabia, which so far is just mountains. I got kind of sick on the bus ride here which was heavily air conditioned, and that's why I'm spending an extra day here. Hopefully I'll find something great here.......
