I should be a wildlife photographer

Okay, so here Carol and I are on our second to last leg of our trip in Manual Antonio.

Manual Antonio is famous for its national park which we visited today. They have a TON of wildlife right in front of you as well as some awesome beaches without the vendors. These are just some pictures of some of the wildlife we saw.

First is an iguana just soaking up the rays on a tree. They are everywhere and despite their large size, you cant really see them till they move.

Then we saw two families of white faced or capuchin monkeys. Also known as Ross monkey on Friends, Marcel.

After much dissapointment of not seeing a sloth, we got the oppurtunity to watch one come down from its tree and go number 2. This is rare because they only do it once a week. They are VERY slow creatures and they have to come down to do it so their poo doesnt attract lurking predatory cats. This one spent about 2 minutes on the ground and moved right back up...slowly of course.

This last picture is of a squirrel monkey. They are much smaller then the white faced and howler monkeys and move very quickly.

I love your pictures of the wildlife. I can't believe you got that close to the sloth. Well, the trip is nearing to an end. Looking forward to seeing you Friday afternoon. Be safe.

Love Mom
