June 06, 2005busy last few days
Ok its been awhile since i wrote in here. i have been super busy with classes and stuff. I havent done too much lately though. thursday i just had class and went out to dinner. friday i went to reims with my class. While waiting in the train station i noticed a guy that looked really american. In paris you can tell who is american because they will be wearing flip flops, baseball hats, tshirts, etc. So i said hi and found out he was in the air force and was working as a cop in germany which was pretty interesting. He was just -passing time before he went back to school. Reims was pretty cool. We saw an enormous cathedral there. It had a lot of gothic sculptures around the outside and in the portals. After the cathedral visit we went to lunch at a little restaurant. It was pretty good I have chicken in gravy with rice. Then we went to a little palace next to the cathedral. I took a picture of myself next to the royal gold. There was also a lot of statues, we had some fun and took a bunch of pictures with us and the big stone gargoyles. We had about an hour to kill after the palace visit before we caught our train. I went to a wine store with a few people from class. I tried a dark chocolate candy that was filled with champagne. It was pretty gross. I didnt like it. But then again I dont like wine and champagne. Our class took the 2 hour long train home. Lindsey and I had a bunch of people in our room for drinks. You can buy a bottle of wine for like 3 dollars here and it isnt bad. At like 12 i went to meet my french friend to play pool in a little bar near republique. It was a fun night. Comments
