April 05, 2005Injured in 'Nam
Someone burned me with a cigarette on my left bicep. Some smokers are just so inconsiderate. I also got a really big wound that is taking forever to heal on my left elbow/forearm. Right where you rest your arm if you lean into a table or put your arm on an armrest. I did this by acting like a 13 year old boy at the water park. I also lost my top at the water park. You may think that my pride would've been wounded but only one lucky traveling companion and the lifeguard caught a glimpse so it didn't seem like such a big deal. It was actually kind of ironic because frequently when I arrived at the bottom of a slide the traveling companion who saw kept indicating that I had fallen out of my top when I hadn't. I of course believed him until I actually did. It was a like a self fulfilling prophecy. Or perhaps, a different moral to the story of the boy who cried wolf. A bit of Brair Rabbit meets the boy who cried wolf I would say. Comments
