April 02, 2005Saigon
I've spent the last few days in Saigon. There doesn't seem to be any sign of the Saigon that is painted in movies. It is a pretty run down place, but it has a good energy. I went to the Cuchi Tunnels, The War Remenants museum, took a cyclo around town, shared a meal with an American Vet and visited a water park. I have much to report but don't feel like writing. So, I'll update later. I'm off to the Mekong Delta on Sunday and then on to Cambodia! I have really enjoyed Vietnam but I am ready for something new. There is always a bit of nervous excitement when heading to a new country. Comments
