March 24, 2005Sales Technique
Before I came to Vietnam, I had heard that the people were not that nice- always trying to swindle you and very pushy. I don't find that to be true at all. It is true that people are constantly asking you to buy something. They actually use that very expression . . . "buy something from me" Sometimes they are more specific and offer you a motor bike ride or a bottle of water. Personally, I do not hold it against them. Perhaps it is my sales background. I know that you are much more likely to get the sale if you ask for it. People are just trying to get by. It can definitely get annoying, but I can't really blame them for their hustle. Comments
