February 28, 2005Last Observation about Laos
One thing a person can't miss when in Laos is that there are tons of kids and not many people who look over 50. Of those who do look over 50, most are women. I did a google search and found a variety of sources of differing dates. Most say that life expectancy is between the 52 and 57 range. I think it is really interesting that you could observe this in the population. Although, it seems men have a longer life expectancy then women. Perhaps because the women give birth to so many kids!
