I saw a few reminders of the Tsunami in Bangkok- some small donation jars on receptions desks and a large donation center near the Grand Palace. The most moving was at the corner of Khao San Rd. It was very reminiscent of 9/11 with missing person photos posted and pictures of the tsunami and its impact. The saddest thing to see was the endless list of descriptions of the unidentified dead. For the most part though, it seems like business as usual. The tsunami aftermath is certainly front page news, but people don't seem to be talking. Of course, even if they were, I wouldn't understand them. Comments
