On the island of koh Tao, sanitation is taken very seriously. Since the entire economy revolves around diving, the reefs must be preserved. They recyle plastic bottles (yet strangely give you everything with a plastic straw.)

It is amazing how taking care of the environment becomes a habit when there is economic gain.
