January 23, 2005The Beagle Has Landed
We arrived at our h9otel at approximately 3 AM on Sat. Jan 15. i had thought that I had arranged to have a room ready but that didn't seem to be the case so we had to wait until 5 AM. We were sttaying right around the corner from the Khao San Road, which has the largest concentration of backpackers I have ever seen. People were out and about so I decided to go around the corner fro some water. As I left the 7/11, which I would guess is the most internationally uniquitous American chain after McDonalds, a rat scurried past me. Only a half hour in SEA and already my first rat encounter. Luckily, there are many stray cats and dogs in Bangkok. Comments
