Beth and I live in some interesting places. Beth canīt speak any spanish, so she is having a hard time with her host family. I live with Carlos who is American, so I at least have someone to talk to. Anyway, we live in a shack. My room is 10 feet from 9 feet, just like samson place. Our family wonīt let us in the house, which is really weird. And let me tell you, the showers here are mucho frio! It is horrible, so I have given up on showers....well you would too! Comments
Wow, sounds like an adventure. Do you and beth live near by each other. Send more pics of you two in daily life! Karen and I live about 15 minutes from each other. I am moving to a new host family today to be closer. Posted by: Beth on June 12, 2005 12:23 PMOur daily includes five hours of intensive one-on-one spanish class, and then lunch, then we will maybe study at the cafe. Today, we learn to SALSA!!!!!! Then dinner, and more studying and chillen with friends. There are four people total from Philadelphia here. Beth is now at the funeral of the XELA JU football player that we say in action last Saturday (beth should be in school, but her school is on the road). And I just got back from the market, but I should get back to my classes. Oh yea, and this week, we are going to the hot springs and horseback riding...whoopie!!! Posted by: Karen on June 13, 2005 12:51 PMyikes 5 hours of class. too much for me. especially if its in a different language. the hot springs sound like a lot of fun as does the horseback riding. WOW, you heard about the dude that died!! Craziness. He was playing during the game we saw last week. We are going to the hot springs tomorrow and then to another football game. If they win, we are traveling to Guatemala City to watch the final game!!!! Posted by: Karen on June 15, 2005 03:14 PMPost a comment
