March 01, 2005I'm still alive...ha.
Well, I must admit it's been a crazy past few days in Dunedin...we've done and seen a lot since I last wrote - but I've got to make it brief seeing as (gulp) I have class in a few minutes. Let's see. Well for starters, last Wednesday we hiked Mount Cargill just outside of the city. It offers panoramic views of the Otago Harbour and its beaches. The greenery is amazing...one minute you'll be tramping among pines and the next among waterfalls and ferns. We officially saw the New Zealand Silver Fern (a rather uneventful experience for myself...though some of my friends thought it was worth a picture or two). On the hike up, a few of us girls really got to know each other fast by playing "hot seat," which is basically just a cover for a game that lets you ask a person anything within a 5 minute time period. It killed a few hours of the hike. Comments
