"P" on remote answer

I discovered the answer to what the "p" means on the remote in Ireland and the UK. Instead of "channel" they say "programme" same as our "program" is "programme" there. "Network" is also "programme". It is a very versatile word. I actually discovered this Scotland, but I assume it is the same in Ireland. Funny thing was, they weren't sure in Scotland what it meant, even though it was on all the remotes in the hotel. Took them awhile to remember. Maybe it is more of a English thing, because they knew channel in Scotland.

So that's all. Made it to Japan OK. Because the flight was late (which caused me to miss a bus) the whole thing took 25 hours! Golly! We are 17 hours ahead here actually, not 18 like I estimated before. I'll write more about Scotland and Japan tomorrow, especially the wedding! Wonderful!

Be sure to read down below for the final Ireland entry.

Hi Joni: Hope you're having a grand time in Toyko...what a lengthy journey....25 hours. Bob Schmellick and his daughter Lauren are visiting here with us in Newport for a few days. They live in Boise, Idaho. Bob is Joe's dearest friend and a roommate from when they lived in Marina Del Ray. We've had fun and hate to see them leave. Steve and Roxanne and family will be here on Friday to stay thru Easter and we'll have a nice Easter dinner with them and Noel and Denise. May you enjoy a blessed Easter. Be safe. I love you Joni.
