The day after I arrived I decided to take a surfing lesson!

My surfing lesson wasn't until 2.15 in the afternoon so that was good.
I decided to do this with a girl called Catherine. We first got picked up in a mini bus to take us to the beach. We didn't surf on Byron Bay as the waves were too rough. We were taken to a beach called Bellina. When we first got there, there didn't seam to be any waves!! But the eccentric bloke we had teaching us said there were loads - and he was right.

First of all, we were shown how to get on the board on the sand. It really isn't that difficult. Terry (eccentric bloke!) said I was a natural!!! I surfed waves (no joke) approx. 40 yrds> It was fantastic!

The lesson was $39 for 4 hours - not bad eh!
