Cruisin' from Caxambas

January 6, 2005
Today we took our kayaks out of Caxambas State Park, on the southern side of Marco Island. It was a beautiful 80 degree day, and seashells were...

everywhere! We paddled 8 miles in loop around Kice Island, an uninhabited island to the south, and cut across Blind Pass, throught the backwaters. Along the way in the backwater, we came across two sets of dolphins. The second set, (which consisted of three) allowed us to get really close, and swam along with us, looking at us each time they surfaced. Michelle was even "attacked" by one, which we have a great video of that we can email upon request.
