July 30, 2005Great News!
I know, I know... I've got a lot to answer for, finishing just half of my Tasmania entries and not reporting on our weekend trip to the Blue Mountains, then leaving you all hanging on the ENTIRE first week of Uni... But you'll all just have to understand how reliving first year all over again, only 3 years older, actually is! Luckily, older means better able to cope, and I think that might be the only advantage of adding years-- getting wiser. I promise I will report on those things, but for now, I have one piece of news that I'd like to share with everyone! I'M ENGAGED!!!
No, the good news is something incredibly trivial, but makes me so happy! I GOT MY SCUBA CLASS APPROVED FOR 2 CREDITS AT UVA!!! I'm not sure what that means as far as taking classes yet, but it does mean that I did something completely awesome for a vacation, and got class credit for it. That makes the money spent so much more worth it. Definitely the best trip in my entire life. Ok, signing off for now, because I have been awake for 4 hours now (it's 6:00 pm) and missed lunch so it's dinnertime! I don't think I've gone to sleep before 2 am since last Sunday... :-D Posted by Janice K on July 30, 2005 06:55 PM

I don't know about everyone else, but I check this page for updates a couple times a day. What a fright you gave me! I feel sorry for your poor parents! Hopefully, the same Kurbjun genes found in your adventuresome and daring personality will protect them from the heart stopping "news" you've posted this time. Great for the scuba credits. That's one Phys.Ed class you won't have to take at college. And who wants to learnn SCUBA in a swimming pool, anyway? In the old days, older meant wiser, yes. Now a days, especially in societies like ours where youth is worshiped, older means older, and little else, so there you've learned a wonderful lesson. Posted by: Sam (a.k.a. Sam) on July 31, 2005 07:57 AMWell! The wires went crazy in Kurbjun world. I was told to check out your blog for a surprise - turned out to be a heart stopping surprise! You know that is your father's worst nightmare. Glad you are enjoying yourself - good for the credits at UVA - give the old folks a break - no more shocks (or near misses). dear jan, croaked, both pretty close. Then said, she could not have known him more than a week.who is he ,an aussie? Any way ,I figured you had slipped a cog or something. Jaw literally dropped. Things sound fabulous over on that there big island. I remain horrifically jealous. Posted by: T.C. on August 10, 2005 03:02 PMPost a comment
