July 22, 2005Day 3, July 17: On the Convict Trail
Roseview hostel is one of my favorites so far. It's in Port Arthur and is a converted old house that looks out onto the convict ruins of the site. I guess in a sense, it's kind of creepy, but it's in such a beautiful area! We didn't actually see the historical site (too expensive, even with a student discount!), but we did a few of the walks in the area. We can't quite get over how every turn you take there is a beautiful view waiting for you to take it in. I think my favorite view/land formation I saw today was Cape Raoul, off in the distance. We could see it from the lookout near Remarkable Cave, and it looked like broken organ pipes rising up out of the mist. This place is very magical (in the very generic sense of the word). The Port Arthur voyage included: We rented a little two door Hyundai Getz. I've decided this one's name is: "It Getz us there." Karl didn't get it at first. Your little prank "I'm Engaged" got the attention you wanted! OH NO!!!. It looks like you will be missing Karl about now. I hate to think of my little grand daughter way down and so far away! We love you very much! Post a comment
