Halfway there

Well we made it to Lima. We were going to go to Huarez this morning but we slept a lot longer than any of us thought. Erik and I are traveling with his girlfriend Sondra and her mom and are going to meet Craig and his girlfriend in Huarez tomorrow.

I use to not mind flying but after this flight I´ve decided its far too cramped and boring. Luckily we had a deck of cards, and as any of you who know Erik or myself we were able to stay entertained with some low stakes games of rat, 7card, & 13. I finished up a dollar, wahoo.

We got into Lima at almost midnight local time and customs was easy money. After checking into our hostel, Inca Lodge, which is really nice, we walked around a bit. Found the McDonalds and ever better, casinos. Too bad the casinos only have slot machines. I lost 3 bucks.
Park
Today we found a casino that had black jack, roulette, and poker. Unfortunately it was during siesta and none of the tables were open! I had my first Coke of the trip and it does taste a little different. Bad news for Erik and good news for his dentist is that they sell Coke in 3 liter bottles here.

Here is Erik Sondra and I enjoying our first meal in Lima.
Chicken, fries, and shish kebob.
Pacific Ocean
Adios.

Casinos in SA? Lame. My prediction for next post – “So, we decided to bag climbing and just gamble all our money away. Peru rocks!”

Jesse – You didn’t caption the fierce looking pier and water. Wow! I know I’m a few days behind. I’ll catch up.
