November 25, 2004Milan
10th Oct - 12th Oct Ummm, not as interesting as the rest of the places we have been to...
This is a place if you have money and you really want to spend it on really expensive and boring designerwear clothes and you want to be seen with the rich and famous (well, we didnt really see any rich OR famous people) not really for travellers who live on bread and cheese everyday, I wouldnt really have anything nice to say about Milan if I didnt buy my sexy tiger bag from there! (ok, its not THAT bad but you know...) so yeah...most of my day was spent wandering around the grounds of the castle and its gardens and looking through the amazing interior of the gothic/baroque style Duomo (which is huge!)
When we arrived in Milan, I wasnt feeling to well anyway and slept straight away once I got there...my back was hurting and I needed a break..so I decided id sacrifice a night time tour of Milan and take a snooze which was a very good idea! The boys werent feeling to well either and after Milan we started to buy garlic daily and guzzling orange juice by the litre! man, we must have STUNK! the boys were CHEWING the garlic cloves, i was swollowing them cos I was too scared to smell! haha but man, now that alone was an experience to go through! haha
oh oh!! i found a basketball court in the gardens behind the castle! I got so excited because 2 boys started shooting around (they were pretty crap actually...i think these Milan people should stick to getting dressed) and I watched them for about 30mins! pure bliss, I miss basketball so much, I think i need to buy one and start bouncing it around the streets with me, hehe..ok, im not gonna do something that drastic...but my point is i miss it ok...
We went (window) shopping in the main fashion arcade which had a beautiful old dome overhead, the maccas inside was so upperclass! nice seats, better counters, nice pot plants, I wouldnt have been surprised if they had dressed Ronald up with some Gucci or Armani (i checked, they hadnt)
After getting up from fainting when seeing the €13,500 price tag of a Prada bag,
