September 08, 2004My home for a year
Dublin Dublin Dublin...lets see...hmm, well, lets say its a very interesting and beautiful place to live, if you think a fresh pile of vomit on the sidewalk every morning is interesting and beautiful haha! (my freind Ann always finds a new pile while walking to work) so basically what im trying to say is that the Irish love their alcohol and that they like to leave a little bit of evidence of that love for the general public to see, you know, i guess like proof... (pffft) In general, i love living here...the only thing which is really discouraging is using the Aussie $...the prices are crazy! you cant really go out at night and not expect to spend near to €40 which is converted to $80!! this is the reason I have not been going out at all...and to tell the truth i dont really mind since I can use that money on a tour or trip to somewhere else. So what we usually do is leave work at 5:30 walk home (dodging the piles of dog poo next to the presents from the dubliners who were drinking the night b4) and getting home at 6pm, each having a night to cook...thursday night is shopping night and basically the rest of the week watching TV...IM BORED/bored/bored/bored/bored, ive never watched so much TV in my life! but i guess this is the only way to save moola and plus im going to europe in 2 weeks so I have something to look forward to.
